The Worldwide Ferry Safety Association is proud to present its first conference for the promotion of global ferry safety. The theme of the conference is Ferry Safety and Technology: Design and Operations. This unique international conference will bring together ferry owners and operators; naval architects and marine engineers; and new technology developers and providers to improve efficiency and safety here and around the world.

The first day of the conference will take place at the Alexander Hamilton U.S. Custom House in New York City. Featured panels include Vessel Design and Construction, E-Training, Weather Information Systems, and Operations and Communications. The day will close with a cocktail reception and sunset cruise on the Staten Island Ferry.
The conference's second day will begin at the Custom House and move to hands-on facilities and vessels tours at the Staten Island Ferry Terminal and Battery Maritime Building.
