Silverstone's infield Stowe Circuit will become an eco-driving hub for a day when the Fleet Show returns to the famous race course on 9 April.

Fleet Show event organiser Jerry Ramsdale explained: "This year we've split the Grand Prix circuit in two, so we can use the National Circuit for faster laps, and the International Circuit for road speed drives. We also have the off-road circuit for those wishing to try one of the many 4x4s on offer.

"But we also cannot overlook the single most important factor in so many fleet decisions – CO2 emissions.

"So, we are using the Stowe Circuit as an opportunity for those manufacturers with strong low-CO2 sub-brands to demonstrate not only the fuel efficiency of their cars, but also how to drive them in the most economical fashion."

A team of eco-driving experts will be available on the day to help fleet managers understand how they can achieve – or even exceed – the published fuel consumption figures for popular fleet cars.

A number of these will be fitted with highly sophisticated fuel and driver monitoring software so that drivers can see for themselves how they have performed on the circuit.
