Motor museum open for meetings

25 April 2014

The Haynes International Motor Museum in Sparkford, Somerset, is available for meetings and conferences.

The new UK Minister for Culture, Communications and Creative Industries, Ed Vaizey MP, opened the re-launched facility earlier this month at a ceremony attended by more than 500 guests.

The West country facility has three exhibition halls and its meeting-room facilities can cater for up to 400 delegates.  The museum boasts in-house catering and 55 acres of outdoor event sites and fields.

When not busy networking and participating in meetings, delegates will be able to enjoy the museum's motoring exhibits. These include an 1885 Benz, an array of sports and touring cars and the what is claimed to be the world’s largest collection of Speedway motorbikes.

The Museum's  Managing Director Marc Haynes, comented: “The new more modern facilities and displays will appeal to all ages and generations, making a fun and interesting day out or an excellent, not to mention unique and memorable, event venue that can be tailored to an individual’s needs and requirements. Now this project is complete, we will turn our eyes to the future, with a new hotel a possible option to ensure guests can travel from far and wide and enjoy their visit with no time pressures. Watch this space.”
