Full details

Lloyd’s, in conjunction with Skuld, is hosting a Wreck Removal event from 13.00 to 15.30 on Tuesday 4 June 2013, taking place at Nor Shipping in Oslo.

Following the recent launch of the Lloyd’s report ‘The Challenges and Implications of Removing Shipwrecks in the 21st Century’, this event will consist of a seminar and panel discussion to explore the implications for the Marine & Energy Industry created by trends and exposures for removal of wrecks. Due to the Costa Concordia catastrophe in 2012, and dramatic increase in the cost of wreck removals, this report is particularily relevant at the moment.

The author, James Herbert, will take guests through the key findings of the report and the risk management challenges faced by the marine market in response to a major marine or energy disaster.

This will be followed by a panel debate involving market specialists who will discuss the market response to such an event and the various competing considerations.

Venue:
Thon Hotel Arena
Nesgata 1
2004 Lillestrøm

The conference will close with a cocktail reception at Skuld’s office at Rådhusgaten 27 in the centre of Oslo between 16.00 – 18.00. Buses will take you from the Nor-shipping arena to Skuld’s Office.
